Rotary Quiz Success

Cranleigh Rotary's Spring Quiz, held on 8 April 2022 for the first time in three years due to the COVID restrictions, proved to be a resounding success.

A total of 18 teams took part - despite one team having to withdraw due to ill health - resulting in more than 100 people taking part.

The questions, which were set by Jak Woodford, were of a high standard and certainly stretched people's knowledge. The feedback from those taking part was that it was great to be back again and that they thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

The winning team was GBH, headed by Belinda Graham-Rack - who were also the winners the last time the quiz took part three years ago!

A total of £672 was raised from the entry fees and £450 from the raffle. The net profit amounted to £907.25, which will be divided between Teenage Cancer Trust and Cranleigh Rotary's charity account.

"A big thank you to all those who helped run the event on the evening and to all those who contributed prizes," said Rotarian Andy Kolmar.
