Cranleigh 10k Run, 8 September

Rotary Run

This year's Cranleigh 10k Run took place on Sunday, 8 September. The run was organised by Cranleigh Runners, in association with Cranleigh Rotary.

More than 120 people took part in the race, including two valiant young boys and their fathers. The weather was kind and the first runner over the line came in at 43 minutes, with the last one reaching the finishing tape at 1 hour 44 minutes.

Everyone enjoyed themselves and some winners collected a few bottles of wine, as well as their medals. The second placed runner donated his bottle to the last person over the line, who was very pleased to receive it! The event is expected to raise around £2,000 for Cranleigh Rotary's local charities.

A special finish medal was presented to all participants.

The scenic, undulating course followed Knowle Lane to Baynards Farm Estate entrance and on to Downs Link for the run to the finish in Snoxhall playing field. https://www.cranleighrunners.com .
