Santa Dash Raises Over £1,200

After the successful event last year, Cranleigh Rotary once again sponsored the Cranleigh Santa Dash, in association with other local organisations.

The 5K or 10K Fun Run took place on Sunday 9th December, starting at 10 a.m. in Stocklund Square.

"The event went really well, with the weather being kind to us," said Rotarian Jane Briggs. "Over 135 runners took part, many dressed for the occasion. Rotarians provided the refreshments, which were cleared in short order!

"We are looking forward to doing it again in 2019."

Almost £1,200 has been raised from this year's Santa Dash. All profits will be donated by the Rotary Club of Cranleigh to local primary schools for dictionaries and library books.

The 2018 event was sponsored by Cranleigh Sunflowers, Cranleigh Rotary Club, Cranleigh Chamber of Commerce, Oakwood Tax Consultants and Informed Choice.
