New! Concerts For 2021

The Rotary Club of Cranleigh is planning to hold two “Concerts for the Community” in 2021. The beneficiaries from the concerts will be Cranleigh Scouts, Cranleigh Guides, St Joseph’s Specialist School and College, and the Club’s Charity Fund.

After being informed they would be beneficiaries from the concerts all three offered to fully support the events and responded as follows:

What a lovely way to start back after the half term break with such wonderful news of your forthcoming support. Your support will help us with our long “wish list” of equipment we need to purchase to fit out the new pottery, craft and catering building for our students.   St Joseph’s Specialist School and College
Thank you so much for thinking of the Scouts this year. We have obviously been hit by the pandemic along with everyone else, and our fundraising has really stalled over the last 12 months. Any money received will go towards an activity day we are planning as soon as we can get all our members back together again.
Cranleigh Scouts

We really appreciate your support for Cranleigh Guiding. Funding will help us get back to our dynamic programme and some specific projects we have in mind following the pandemic.  Cranleigh Guides

Everyone is invited to come along, enjoy and support these evenings of musical entertainment. MAKE A NOTE IN YOUR DIARY and keep everything crossed that these events will be able to go ahead as planned.
SUNDAY, 18th JULY 2021 (3-5 pm in Snoxhall Park)

Surrey Yeomanry Band
This concert will be FREE, but a collection will be made in support of the organisations mentioned above.
The Band of the Surrey Yeomanry is a 30 - 40 piece concert band based in Reigate and Redhill. Originally formed in 1964 as the official band of the Surrey Yeomanry (Queen Mary’s Regiment), the band is now managed as a regular concert band, but maintains an affiliation with the Regimental Association.

Michael Withers has been musical director of the band since 2015 and has directed and conducted performances in a variety of locations including Eastbourne Bandstand, Westminster Abbey Gardens and Coram. The band plays music to suit all ages, from popular classics to music from stage and screen.
SATURDAY, 23rd OCTOBER 2021 (7.30 pm at Cranleigh Arts Centre)

London Welsh Choir
The choir of the world-famous London Welsh Rugby Club has established itself over the past two decades as one of the premier male voice choirs in the UK.
Choir highlights include: a tour with the 2005 British and Irish Lions in New Zealand; further high-profile tours to Scandinavia, Asia and across Europe; several appearances on national radio and television; sell-out concert tours; rugby internationals and other sporting events; as well as its defining moment, performing at the 2012 London Olympics in front of a worldwide audience of more than one billion.
Cranleigh Distribution Services Ltd, Berkeley Homes, Hans Christmas Andersen and Lynn Murray & Company have kindly agreed to be sponsors for the concerts.
Additional sponsors are invited so that more of the concerts' proceeds will be able to be donated to local charities.
