Donations to Local Schools

On Friday, 24 June, two local Primary Schools, Park Mead and Ewhurst C of E, were each presented with a cheque for £500 in order for them to purchase books for their school’s library.

This is a continuation of a multi-year programme of donations to four local schools that began with donations of children's dictionaries and now focuses on financial donations so that the schools can enhance their libraries.

The first photograph (left) shows Chris Elston, the acting Headteacher of Ewhurst School, and the second shows Headteacher Neil McAuliffe of Park Mead School, receiving cheques from Rotarian Andy Kolmar.

Both headteachers were most thankful for the donations.
