Christmas Donations

Cranleigh Rotary donated £250 for Christmas presents, kindly purchased and beautifully wrapped by Tom and Jan Cornwell.

The Club has since received a letter of thanks from Wonersh United Reformed Church, confirming that the presents were gifted to Guildford Besum, the Salvation Army and vulnerable Mums with children in Guildford.

Dear Tom,

Just a note to say thank you for raising the £250 donation from Cranleigh Rotary Club and then the buying and wrapping of all those gifts for needy children in the locality. It is very much appreciated and was a focal point of the (Church) Service.

Rev. Graham Hoslett, our Minister, has taken them and the other gifts brought to the Toy Service last Sunday and has given them to the Guildford Besum, the Salvation Army and a refuge for vulnerable Mums with children in Guildford.

Yours sincerely,

Chris Cozens

The Club also received a letter of thanks from Young Lives vs Cancer, another charity it supported last year. (see https://www.younglivesvscancer.org.uk/)

Thank you so much for supporting Young Lives vs Cancer in 2022!

It has been a challenging year for many of the families we support, but thanks to wonderful people like you, they haven’t had to face cancer alone.

Because of your support, it meant we could be there for over 6,100 children and young people with cancer, and their families this year. Thank you!

Rose Bailey, Senior Fundraising Engagement Manager, Young Lives vs Cancer.
