Rotary Burger Bar
Each June the Rotary Club of Cranleigh participates in the Village Fair on The Common by providing a Burger Bar.
This has traditionally involved beefburgers and hot dogs, with onions, ketchup and cold drinks. However, in 2009 and 2010, the Club decided to branch out by providing additional delicacies in the form of cheese slices and fried bacon. The extended menu was a extremely popular, with all stocks of food being sold out by the end of the day (helped no doubt by the sizzling, sunny weather).
As a result of this outstanding success, approximately £1,000 was raised for the Club’s charity funds in 2009, and £800 in 2009.
